Project Context

For a class project, three of my fellow students and I formed the fictitious UX/UI firm GLLM/UX. We created and presented a set of proposals to improve the end-user experience for Saaslio (real client), an Indianapolis-based SaaS management company. Saaslio provides software as a service solution to help businesses identify and augment existing software that belongs in business environments through an easy-to-install one-click experience (via Google Chrome Extension).
MY ROLE
Working with teammates in the mocking-up process. Designed and laid out report and presentation slides.
SKILLS I USED
- Information architecture
- Users flow
- Communication and presenting
- User interface design
- Lisa Ingersoll
- Lenore Brown
- Mike Rowell
TOOLS USED
- Figma (Mockup)
- Google Slides (Presentation)
- Adobe InDesign (Report)
I had the pleasure of working with Gylin Teh & her team over at the Eleven Fifty Academy where she was pursuing the UI/UX course. Her team made software recommendations for my organization, Saaslio, and she impressed me with her graphic design skills in a rebrand proposal. Getting to know her better, its clear to me that someone would be lucky to have Gylin working for them as she brings an extremely well-balanced set of skills to the table.

Process of Real Client Case Study

We conducted market research for Saaslio’s application from the perspective of the end-user, defined the main problems, applied user-centered design principles, and prepared the following deliverables:
- Proposed style guide for logo, colors, and visual design
- Proposed website copy and copywriting style guide
- A presentation featuring before and after illustrations
- Accompanying report with a more detailed explanation of process and principles
