Calibre

Project Context

Calibre Project

Calibre is a powerful and easy to use e-book manager. Users say it’s outstanding and a must-have. It’ll allow you to do nearly everything and it takes things a step beyond normal e-book software. However, when I first saw the Calibre’s website, I was surprised to see the outdated website structure and design. I thought Calibre had a lot more potential, so I picked this website to revamp and reimagine for my UX/UI project.

Calibre website UX/UI Issues

  • The content and navigation bar of Calibre’s website is not designed by using fluid page grids, flexible images, and CSS3 media queries.
  • The navigation menu items need to be revised and updated.
  • The overall look and feel of the website design and branding (typography, layout, styles) were outdated, making it harder to attract visitors.
  • The footer can be revised to include company and copyright information, the terms of use, privacy policies, and site map. It would also look nicer if the footer could stick at the bottom of the page.
